VENUE: Champagne Sports Resort, Central Drakensberg

DATES: 21 - 23 November 2016

The Resort:

Central Drakensberg - KwaZulu Natal, South Africa

Champagne Sports Resort has been striving to make this award winning resort the perfect place for work and play. This is a difficult balance to achieve but following recent developments we believe we have created a truly unique destination catering for all guest requirements in an absolutely spectacular setting.

Situated in the tranquility of the Central Drakensberg, boasting the most spectacular view of Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak, lies Champagne Sports Resort. This cosy hideaway's unique combination of convenient location, country club atmosphere, luxury accommodation and friendly staff makes packing your bags to leave this eternal place a challenge.

Champagne Sports Resort is more than just a hotel in the mountains, it's a unique experience. From the 18-hole championship golf course to the roaming herds of Blesbok and Impala and the rare birdlife that inhabit the estate, there is something for everyone to enjoy. And, with five dams stocked with either bass or trout, as well as outstanding sporting facilities and cultural activities, this enduring resort provides a balance between recreation for sports enthusiasts and tranquility for those seeking relaxation.

From the moment you arrive at our front door you will feel the stress of the city has been left far behind. Self-contained, free standing thatched cottages provide the finest accommodation, and delectable fare and sumptuous banquets coupled with every possible creature comfort makes Champagne Sports Resort the ultimate 'berg experience.

Only a three-and-a-half hours drive from Johannesburg and 2-hours from Durban, the resort is ideally situated for both relaxing leisure weekends and for corporate conferences.

Registration is now open for the Convention & AGM — our most important event of the year.

Taking place at the Champagne Sports Resort, Central Drakensberg, this convention will be relevant to vital issues that will be discussed and decided upon, which will affect all our members and their businesses. New office-bearers will be elected and new policies formulated, and there will be exceptional presentations for guests to enjoy.

By means of our auction, the convention always plays an important role in raising funds for PHASA. Booths at overseas shows, quality firearms, hunts, artwork and jewelry are some of the items that will be under the hammer.

There will be time to relax around the braai fires, to form new friendships, built networks and explore new opportunities and ideas.

For the ladies - there are two very special events – on Monday and Wednesday.

The convention is an excellent opportunity for new members to become acquainted with our industry, and meet and learn from the “old hands”, and for our young professional hunters to meet our outfitters and, hopefully, obtain some hunting days.

We encourage all our members to attend.
