IPHA/PHASA has secured a block of rooms at the New York New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas  for the Safari Club International Convention in January/February 2012 for its members.  Here are the details:

The hotel does not have a complimentary shuttle but there are several shuttle options from the airport to the hotel.  Visit www.mccarran.com underground transportation for more info.  Guests can walk over to Excalibur from NYNY and catch a tram to Mandalay Bay from there.  The NYNY is connected to Excalibur by a sky walk.

Block dates are Sunday, 29 January through Sunday, 05 February 2012.

Rates
Rates have been negotiated at $79 per night Sunday through Thursday and $159 per night Friday and Saturday plus resort fee and room tax.  These rates are per room per night, single or double occupancy.  A charge of $30 per night will be added for each guest over double occupancy, with a maximum of 4 guests allowed per room.

The daily Resort Fee is $15.00 and room tax is 12 % subject to change.  This fee includes guest room internet access, daily fitness center access, unlimited local and toll free calls, use of calling cards and collect calls from your Room.  It also includes free boarding pass printing, notary services and incoming and outgoing faxes – limit of 5 pages total. Check in time is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM.

Deposit/Guarantee
A deposit equal to one night’s room rate plus taxes and fees will be required to make reservation.  Individual credit cards will be charged for the first night’s stay, plus tax, to guarantee the reservation.  Room reservations not guaranteed will be automatically cancelled within 14 days of the reservation date.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations will be accepted without penalty up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date.  Reservations not cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, or no show reservation will be charged one night’s room rate plus taxes and fees.

It will take you to the New York, New York reservations website specifically set up for the group.

1. Choose which date you would like to check in and how many nights you will be staying and click the "search availability" button.  
2. It will then take you to what is available under the group rate.  
3. If you are satisfied with everything just click "book this room".  
4. It will then ask you for your credit card information and give you a confirmation code. 
5. Please keep this code as you will need it upon check in.

Telephone Reservations: 
Reservations will be telephoned directly to Hotel Group Reservations Department at 800-693-6763 Option 2.  In order to receive the group rate, callers must make their reservations on or before the cut-off date of 12/30/11 and identify their affiliation with SCIPH0112.   Rates cannot be changed at check-in or check-out for guests who fail to identify their affiliation at the time the reservation is made.
