PHASA has negotiated the following deals for members exhibiting at the Dallas Safari Club Convention 2011:

Shuttles for 2012

Jaimey Honea, the person in charge of the shuttles for 2011 said that shuttles from the above mentioned hotels will only be available for this next year (2011).

Beginning in 2012 DSC will offer a list of hotels where they will provide shuttles.  They are contracted with the hotels and the Dallas Convention Center and are booking hotels that are located in close proximity to the expo.  This is why in 2012 and beyond they will not be offering shuttles to any hotels save those on their online booking list.

This year, 2011, the hotels are:  Hyatt Regency at Reunion (DSC host hotel), Aloft Dallas Downtown, Holiday Inn Market Center, Hotel Lawrence Dallas and Magnolia Hotel.

DSC has the online reservations now so that they can capture room nights’ data which will allow them to negotiate lower room rates for their exhibitors and attendees.  The Holiday Inn and Magnolia Hotel rate is $99 per night.

The Magnolia Hotel is about a block and a half away from the Convention Centre and in a very safe area. You don’t have to deal with buses at this location. They will have a bus that goes there, and the trip will be much faster, but this is within walking distance an in a lively part of downtown with other hotels, restaurants, etc.
